The Inspiration
A slow stem of brass, a quiet bell of linen.
The Cassia is a vintage-inspired brass wall sconce shaped after the wandering stem of its botanical namesake — a small flowering shrub that grows in slow, irregular curves. The arm is cast in solid brass and finished by hand, then crowned with a softly tapered linen shade that holds the light close.
There is no symmetry, only gesture. A single Cassia reads as a small wall sculpture above a console; mirrored as a pair, it frames a vanity or paces a hallway in calm rhythm. Made for the rooms in an American home that ask for warmth without ceremony — bedrooms, bathroom vanities, hallways, and entryways.
Two Sizes
A slender single-light wand, or a larger two-light branch — same family, different presence on the wall.
Best beside a bed, above a powder-room mirror, or flanking a small console. The full vertical line draws the eye upward without crowding the wall.
Best for entryway walls, taller hallways, and double-vanity bathrooms where the two-light branch reads as architecture more than as a fixture.
The Make
Solid cast brass arm and backplate, hand-finished — naturally warms with age.
Hand-finished white linen shade with a softly tapered drum silhouette.
Where It Lives
The Cassia was drawn for warm interior rooms in American homes. Below are the four placements customers most often choose.
A single Cassia mounted at headboard height clears the nightstand of a table lamp. Soft enough for late-night reading, decorative enough to leave on as ambient light.
A pair flanking the mirror gives even, flattering light for grooming. UL Listed for indoor bathroom use — keep the fixture clear of direct shower spray.
Pace several Singles down a long corridor for visual rhythm, or hang one Double above the entryway console to greet guests with warm, focused linen-filtered light.
Above a wingback chair or beside a built-in bookcase, the Cassia throws focused light onto the page while the rest of the room stays low and warm.
The Particulars
Bulb sold separately — fits a standard E14 base, 15 W maximum per light. Hardwired install by a qualified electrician; bathroom-safe (IP20) when kept clear of direct water spray.

For Trade & Specifiers
Solid H59 brass — hand-forged, never fades, only deepens with age. Built to last a lifetime and look better for it.
Explore the Brass Collection →Most "brass" fixtures on the market are zinc alloy with a thin copper coat — peeling within three years. Lumioshine uses solid H59 brass throughout: 59%+ copper content, twice the density, and a surface that only grows richer with age.
Lift it and you'll know. Every Lumioshine fixture is cast from solid H59 brass — uniform walls, dense and substantial. That weight is the material's most honest introduction.
Each piece is lost-wax cast, then hand-filed, polished and finished through at least twelve manual processes. No machine-stamped parts. Ever.
In lighting, "brass" is widely misused. These four qualities separate the real thing from everything else.
Buy it once. It only gets better looking.

Real brass oxidises naturally into a deep, rich patina over time. Ten years in, it looks better than the day it was installed — something no plated product can ever achieve.
Copper ions continuously inhibit bacterial growth on the surface (Antimicrobial Copper certified). Ideal for bathrooms, dining spaces and any high-contact environment.
Surface scratches or oxidation spots buff out completely with brass wax or fine-grit paper. A plated fixture is ruined the moment its coating breaks. Solid brass is not.
At ~8.5 g/cm³, brass is denser than aluminium, more corrosion-resistant than iron, and structurally stable under heat. The weight you feel is quality you can trust.
The Craft Logic Behind Every Colour
Brass colour is not paint — it's the result of chemical reaction, electroplating or mechanical treatment applied directly to the metal. The colour cannot peel: it is part of the metal itself.
Chemical oxidation (potassium sulphide, ammonia vapour, acid) produces warm brown to deep black tones bonded just 1–5μm into the metal lattice. Electroplating deposits nickel or chrome for cool, hard surfaces. Brushing alters light diffusion without changing the base colour.
A finish is not just a colour — it's how brass interacts with light. Each surface treatment creates a completely different mood.
The classic. High-polished brass glows amber under warm light and develops a richer patina with use — the natural choice for French and neo-classical interiors.
A deep red-brown tone that absorbs rather than reflects light — sculptural, weighty and understated. Built for spaces that command quiet authority.
Hand-oxidised with natural agents — dark in the recesses, warm gold on the high points. Every piece varies slightly. Impossible to mass-produce. That's the point.
Mirror-grade chrome over brass — hard, wear-resistant, highly reflective. Cool silver-white blends into any palette. The go-to neutral for minimalist designers.
Low-saturation silver-grey that diffuses light softly without glare. Available in Polished, Brushed and Matte — from formal to relaxed, there's a nickel for every setting.
Electroplated black with hand-applied brushing — a subtle metallic sheen beneath deep black. Warmer and more layered than standard black metal, thanks to the brass beneath.
Beyond the six above, we offer 30+ professional finishes — Brushed Gold, Rose Gold, Matte Gold, Pearl Gold, Polished Silver, Brushed Nickel, Matte Nickel, Gunmetal, Titanium Grey, Electroplated Black, Brushed Copper and more. All applied to solid brass. Contact us for a physical swatch set.
