Both finishes will develop character over time — Antique Brass already carries a rich patina, while Brass will soften gradually with age. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth only, and avoid ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners.

Frequently Asked

Before you order

How is the Frida installed?
Hardwired onto a standard junction box, by a qualified electrician. Four steps:
  1. Cut power & confirm wiring. Switch off the circuit at your breaker and confirm the ceiling box supply matches AC 110 – 240 V.
  2. Set your drop. The standard hanging wire is 59″; custom lengths are available if you need a different drop.
  3. Mount the canopy. Secure the 4.7″ canopy to the junction box, then match line-to-line, neutral-to-neutral, and ground.
  4. Fit the bulb & restore power. Thread in your E12/E14 bulb (max 15W) and switch the circuit back on.
What's the difference between Antique Brass and Brass?
Antique Brass comes with a rich, matte patina already worked into the finish, giving it an aged, traditional character from the start. Brass has a brighter, more lustrous gleam that will develop its own soft patina gradually with age and handling. Both are the same underlying material — the choice comes down to whether you want that warm, worn-in look now or over time.
What bulb does it take?
The Frida takes a standard E12 or E14 base bulb, sold separately, rated to a maximum of 15W. A warm-white LED suits the fixture's understated, luxury character best.
Which height should I choose?
Both share the same 4.5″ diameter, so the choice comes down to proportion. The Petite (H7.1″) suits a lower-ceiling space or a cluster of multiple pendants at staggered heights. The Elongated (H9.3″) gives a slightly longer silhouette, good for a single-pendant placement over a console or nightstand where you want more visual presence.

The Solid Brass Lighting Collection

More Than a Light. A Metal That Breathes.

Solid H59 brass — hand-forged, never fades, only deepens with age. Built to last a lifetime and look better for it.

Explore the Brass Collection
Solid Brass · Better With Every Year

True Luxury Is a Material That Stands the Test of Time

Most "brass" fixtures on the market are zinc alloy with a thin copper coat — peeling within three years. Lumioshine uses solid H59 brass throughout: 59%+ copper content, twice the density, and a surface that only grows richer with age.

01 — Solid Cast
Solid Cast · No Plating. No Compromise.

The Weight in Your Hand Is the Truth of Real Brass

Lift it and you'll know. Every Lumioshine fixture is cast from solid H59 brass — uniform walls, dense and substantial. That weight is the material's most honest introduction.

Each piece is lost-wax cast, then hand-filed, polished and finished through at least twelve manual processes. No machine-stamped parts. Ever.

02 — Four Core Advantages

Why Choose Solid Brass?

In lighting, "brass" is widely misused. These four qualities separate the real thing from everything else.

Solid Brass Quality
Never Fades

Improves With Age

Real brass oxidises naturally into a deep, rich patina over time. Ten years in, it looks better than the day it was installed.

Antimicrobial

Naturally Antibacterial

Copper ions continuously inhibit bacterial growth on the surface. Ideal for bathrooms and dining spaces.

Restorable

Scratches Polish Out

Surface scratches or oxidation spots buff out completely with brass wax or fine-grit paper.

Structural

Dense. Strong. Stable.

At ~8.5 g/cm³, brass is denser than aluminium and more corrosion-resistant than iron.

03 — Colouring Process

Brass Colouring /Chemical Finishing

Brass colour is not paint — it's the result of chemical reaction, electroplating or mechanical treatment applied directly to the metal. The colour cannot peel.

Chemical Oxidation → Antique, aged brown, verdigris. Electroplating → Nickel, chrome. Mechanical Brushing → Satin texture.
04 — Finish Exhibition

One Brass. Six Entirely Different Personalities.

A finish is not just a colour — it's how brass interacts with light. Each surface treatment creates a completely different mood.
