The Silhouette

A disciplined line, drawn in solid brass.

The Thetford follows a balanced, pool-table profile — a vertical brass stem lifting into a horizontal dual-arm frame, each arm ending in a white ceramic or lightweight aluminum cone. The opaque shades direct light straight down, trading ambient glow for focused, glare-free illumination over kitchen islands, dining tables, billiard tables, and home office desks. Solid brass hardware, durable aluminum armwork, and fine ceramic socket caps carry the fixture's refined, traditional detailing — a classic profile at home in modern farmhouse, transitional, industrial, and traditional interiors.

Good to know

Brass will soften with age — wipe with a dry, soft cloth only, and avoid ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the warm finish. The segmented suspension rod can be combined in different lengths, so plan your final drop height before installation.

Frequently Asked

Before you order

How is the Thetford installed?
Hardwired onto a standard junction box, by a qualified electrician. Four steps:
  1. Cut power & confirm wiring. Switch off the circuit at your breaker; confirm the ceiling box is grounded and supply matches AC 110 – 240 V.
  2. Set your drop height. Combine the 3.9″, 7.9″, and 29.5″ suspension rod segments to reach your preferred length, or request a custom length before ordering.
  3. Mount the canopy & connect wiring. Secure the ceiling canopy to the junction box, then match line-to-line, neutral-to-neutral, and ground.
  4. Fit the bulbs & shades. Thread in your E26/E27 bulbs, attach the ceramic or aluminum cone shades, and restore power. Check the arms sit level along the horizontal frame.
What bulb does it take, and can I choose the shade material?
The Thetford takes two standard E26 or E27 base bulbs, sold separately so you can choose your preferred temperature and finish. The cone shades are available in white ceramic or lightweight white aluminum — select your preferred material when ordering.
Does it work outside North America?
Yes — the fixture is certified for North America, Europe, Australia, and Saudi Arabia, and accepts AC 110 – 240 V universal voltage.
Which length should I choose for my island or table?
All three lengths share the same 23 cm depth and 30 cm height, so the choice comes down to the surface below. The 40.1″ Compact suits narrower islands or desks, the 47.2″ Mid fits most standard kitchen islands, and the 55.1″ Long is built for longer islands or dining tables where the light should span the full surface.

The Solid Brass Lighting Collection

More Than a Light. A Metal That Breathes.

Solid H59 brass — hand-forged, never fades, only deepens with age. Built to last a lifetime and look better for it.

Explore the Brass Collection
Solid Brass · Better With Every Year

True Luxury Is a Material That Stands the Test of Time

Most "brass" fixtures on the market are zinc alloy with a thin copper coat — peeling within three years. Lumioshine uses solid H59 brass throughout: 59%+ copper content, twice the density, and a surface that only grows richer with age.

01 — Solid Cast
Solid Cast · No Plating. No Compromise.

The Weight in Your Hand Is the Truth of Real Brass

Lift it and you'll know. Every Lumioshine fixture is cast from solid H59 brass — uniform walls, dense and substantial. That weight is the material's most honest introduction.

Each piece is lost-wax cast, then hand-filed, polished and finished through at least twelve manual processes. No machine-stamped parts. Ever.

02 — Four Core Advantages

Why Choose Solid Brass?

In lighting, "brass" is widely misused. These four qualities separate the real thing from everything else.

Solid Brass Quality
Never Fades

Improves With Age

Real brass oxidises naturally into a deep, rich patina over time. Ten years in, it looks better than the day it was installed.

Antimicrobial

Naturally Antibacterial

Copper ions continuously inhibit bacterial growth on the surface. Ideal for bathrooms and dining spaces.

Restorable

Scratches Polish Out

Surface scratches or oxidation spots buff out completely with brass wax or fine-grit paper.

Structural

Dense. Strong. Stable.

At ~8.5 g/cm³, brass is denser than aluminium and more corrosion-resistant than iron.

03 — Colouring Process

Brass Colouring /Chemical Finishing

Brass colour is not paint — it's the result of chemical reaction, electroplating or mechanical treatment applied directly to the metal. The colour cannot peel.

Chemical Oxidation → Antique, aged brown, verdigris. Electroplating → Nickel, chrome. Mechanical Brushing → Satin texture.
04 — Finish Exhibition

One Brass. Six Entirely Different Personalities.

A finish is not just a colour — it's how brass interacts with light. Each surface treatment creates a completely different mood.
