Pick any shade Pantone
has named — we'll paint it exact.

Beyond our seventeen metal finishes lies a second library — the full Pantone® Solid Coated range, applied as a hand-sprayed lacquer finish. Browse the official Pantone Connect library, send us the color number, and we build your fixture in exactly that shade. One code. No ambiguity. No "sort of sage."

§ 01 · The Principle

A number is precise.
An adjective never is.

"Sage green," "dusty rose," "warm charcoal" — every screen, every workshop, and every pair of eyes reads those words differently. A Pantone code reads only one way. It is the same physical reference chip in the Pantone library, on our spray bench in the atelier, and in your quote confirmation. When you order by number, what arrives is what you chose — not our interpretation of what you described.

440 C
440
The color number Identifies one exact shade in the Pantone library — here, a deep espresso brown-black. This is the only part we need from you.
C
"Coated" — the finish standard The suffix "C" means the color is referenced on coated stock — the standard we match painted lacquer against. Please choose from the Solid Coated library.
What we do with it Our paint supplier formulates to the physical Pantone reference, we spray a test panel, photograph it beside the chip, and send it to you before your fixture is painted.
§ 02 · Finding Your Color

Finding your code takes
about four minutes.

Pantone Connect is Pantone's official, free color browser. You don't need an account to look — only the code that appears when you hover a swatch.

01
Open Pantone Connect
Visit pantonecn.com/pantone-connect in any browser — desktop is easiest for comparing shades side by side.
02
Select "Solid Coated"
In the library dropdown at the top, choose PANTONE® Solid Coated — the professional print & coatings standard our paint is matched against.
03
Hover to reveal the code
Browse or search the grid. Hovering any swatch enlarges it and shows its code — for example PANTONE 440 C. That code is your color's full name.
04
Send us the number
Copy the code into the request panel below (or email it with your fixture link). We take it from there — formulation, test panel, photo, quote.
A note on screens

No monitor renders color perfectly — the swatch on your screen is a close guide, not a guarantee. This is exactly why we photograph the sprayed test panel next to the physical Pantone chip and send it to you for approval before your fixture enters the paint booth. Nothing is painted until you've seen the real thing.

§ 03 · A Starting Palette

The twelve shades our clients
keep coming back to.

The full library holds over 2,300 colors — but if you'd like somewhere to begin, these are the references most often commissioned for lighting. Click any card to drop its code into the request panel below.

On-screen colors are approximate renderings of the Pantone references — final matching is always done against the physical chip.

§ 04 · The Sheen

Same hue,
three different finishes.

The Pantone code fixes the hue. The sheen decides how that hue behaves in the room — how much light it returns, how it shows fingerprints, how it photographs. Choose one of three when you send your code.

High Gloss
Description

A velvety, near-zero-gloss surface that absorbs light rather than bouncing it. Reads architectural and contemporary; the most forgiving of dust and fingerprints. Our default for saturated and dark shades.

A gentle low-luster that gives the color depth without turning the fixture into a mirror. The classic furniture-lacquer look — closest to traditional painted millwork and cabinetry.

A deep, wet-look finish built from additional clear-coat layers, hand-leveled between coats. Dramatic and reflective — pastels turn candy-like, darks turn lacquer-box rich.

Please Read Before Commissioning

  • Painted surfaces only. Pantone color applies to metal bodies, canopies, arms, and frames. Natural materials — alabaster, marble, glass, rattan, fabric shades — remain in their natural state and cannot be painted.
  • Made to order. Custom-color fixtures are built specifically for you and are not eligible for the standard change-of-mind return policy. Your approval of the test panel photo is the commitment point.
  • Please use the Solid Coated ("C") library. Codes from other Pantone libraries (TPG/TPX, U, Metallics) can often be cross-matched, but confirm with us first.
  • Slight batch variance is normal. Hand-sprayed lacquer matched to a physical standard may vary fractionally between production runs — within commercial color-matching tolerance.
