What does the carved glass actually do to the light once it's on?
The carved texture breaks up the light passing through the clear glass, so instead of one even glow, it "plays out patterns" — subtle ridges and facets catch and scatter the light differently across the shade's surface. It reads more dynamic and glamorous than a smooth, plain glass shade would, adding texture to the wall around the fixture as well as the light itself.
The three models aren't simply small/medium/large — how do I tell them apart?
Model A is tall and narrow (∅4.9″ × H5.7″), giving it a more vertical, upright presence on the wall. Model B is wide and low (∅6.1″ × H4.5″), sitting flatter and broader. Model C (∅5.3″ × H4.7″) falls in between, with a more balanced, evenly proportioned profile. Pick based on the shape you want on the wall rather than assuming one is simply bigger than another — all three are close in overall scale.
What's the difference between the brass frame and the glass shade in terms of upkeep?
Both the copper-finish brass frame and the carved clear glass shade should be wiped with a dry, soft cloth only — avoid ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners, which can dull the brass finish and scratch the carved glass texture over time.
What bulb works best for this fixture?
A standard E12 or E14 base bulb, sold separately, rated up to 15W. A warm-white LED brings out the carved glass's light-pattern effect best, adding a welcoming glow throughout the space as the description intends.
