Description

A carved saucer shade of natural beige travertine caps a spherical frosted opal glass globe. Suspended by an adjustable ball-joint metal stem from a matching ceiling canopy, the brass hardware—offered in antique brass, matte black, or brushed nickel—allows subtle angling of the shade. The enclosed glass globe diffuses light evenly in all directions while illuminating the porous texture and organic earth tones of the stone hood. Built from solid brass, real travertine, and blown opal glass, this semi-flush light provides overhead illumination for low-ceiling hallways, entryways, bedrooms, or kitchen nooks. Fits Organic Modern, Wabi-Sabi, Minimalist, and Japandi interiors.

Every shade starts as a block of natural travertine. Four steps turn it into the light in your room.

Light that shows the stone

The bulb sits inside solid travertine, so what you see is a warm glow and the grain of the stone, never a bare bulb. Each design then puts the light where it’s needed.

  • Glare-free downlight

    Open-bottom shades focus light onto the counter or table while the bulb stays tucked inside the stone.

  • A wash of light on the wall

    Up-and-down sconces such as Provo and Kaori cast soft beams along the wall and pick out every pore.

  • A glow through the stone

    On Pierced, open fissures let warm light shine straight through the travertine and scatter across the wall.

Caring for the stone

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid vinegar, citrus and ammonia cleaners, which can etch travertine.

Color, pores and veining vary from piece to piece, so no two shades match.
