How is the Tau set up?
No electrician required — this is a plug-in fixture. Three steps:

Unpack & place. Set the geometric iron base on your chosen surface — no mounting or hardware needed.

Angle the shade. Position the brass-finished angled shade toward your desk, console, or reading area.

Plug in & switch on. Run the 59″ cord to a nearby outlet and switch it on — the LED is built-in, so there's no bulb to install.
Since the LED is built-in, can it be replaced if it burns out?
The Tau uses a built-in integrated LED module rather than a screw-in bulb, so it isn't user-replaceable the way a standard bulb would be. Integrated LEDs are rated for a long service life under normal use, and the module can be serviced by an electrician if it ever needs attention.
What's the difference between the Black and Gold body?
Black gives the geometric iron body a matte, graphic contrast against the gold angled shade — the fixture's signature Memphis-style look. Gold on the body instead reads as a more uniform, monochrome metallic piece, letting the angular silhouette itself carry the postmodern statement rather than the color contrast.
Where does the Tau work best?
Its compact scale and functional angled shade make it equally at home as a desk task lamp in a home office, a statement accent on an entryway console, or a unique bedside nightstand light.
