How does the wing nut swivel joint actually work?
Loosen the wing nut by hand — no tools needed — tilt the domed shade to the angle you want, then hand-tighten the wing nut again to lock it in place. It's designed to be re-adjusted as often as you like, whether that's redirecting the light for a task or simply changing the angle over time, without needing a wrench or screwdriver.
What's the difference between Polished Brass and Antique Brass?
Polished Brass has a bright, reflective, mirror-like surface that shows the metal's warm gold tone at its most vivid. Antique Brass is treated to look aged and matte, with a deeper, more subdued tone that hides fingerprints and handling marks more easily — a practical benefit given the fixture's hands-on, adjustable design.
What does the domed shade actually do for the light?
The classic dome sits over the bulb like a small reflector, directing the light generally downward and outward from wherever the swivel joint has it aimed, rather than spreading it evenly in all directions. Combined with the adjustable joint, this makes it easy to aim a more focused pool of light exactly where you need it.
What bulb works best for the Moorlea?
A standard E26 or E27 base bulb, sold separately, rated up to 40W. A warm-white LED suits the fixture's classic, hand-crafted character.

Most "brass" fixtures on the market are zinc alloy with a thin copper coat — peeling within three years. Lumioshine uses solid H59 brass throughout: 59%+ copper content, twice the density, and a surface that only grows richer with age.

Lift it and you'll know. Every Lumioshine fixture is cast from solid H59 brass — uniform walls, dense and substantial. That weight is the material's most honest introduction.

Each piece is lost-wax cast, then hand-filed, polished and finished through at least twelve manual processes. No machine-stamped parts. Ever.

Brass Colouring /Chemical Finishing

Brass colour is not paint — it's the result of chemical reaction, electroplating or mechanical treatment applied directly to the metal. The colour cannot peel.

Chemical Oxidation → Antique, aged brown, verdigris. Electroplating → Nickel, chrome. Mechanical Brushing → Satin texture.
