How can the light be both a focused "pool" and "soft, not harsh" at the same time?
The wide, inverted cone shape does both jobs at once: its open, downward-facing form directs the light into a defined pool below the fixture, useful for a task like reading, while the glass itself diffuses that light as it passes through — softening the edges of the beam rather than casting a harsh, spotlight-like circle. You get directional light without the glare a bare, exposed bulb would produce.
The two sizes share the same width and height — what changes with the 2-Light version?
Only the length, as the second light extends the fixture horizontally rather than making it taller or deeper. The 1-Light Single (L7.5″) suits a single accent spot, while the 2-Light Double (L19.7″) spreads two pools of light across a wider stretch of wall — useful when flanking a bed or vanity, or lighting a longer counter.
Four frame finishes — how do I choose?
Brass leans into the "vintage industrial" warmth the description centers on. Black is the most graphic, high-contrast option. White is the most minimal and blends into a light wall. Nickel Color is cool-toned and contemporary, pairing well with chrome or steel fixtures nearby. All four use the same wide-cone glass shade, so the choice is purely about the frame's look.
How many bulbs does each size need?
One E12/E14 bulb for the Single, two for the Double, sold separately, rated up to 15W each. A warm-white bulb suits the fixture's "warm, high-end" character best.
