Is it stable on a nightstand or side table?
Yes. The Melilla stands on a weighted wood base, so it sits firmly and resists tipping when you reach for the switch or brush past it — a real advantage on a crowded nightstand or a desk you use every day.
Which of the two sizes should I choose?
The Tall (∅ 11″ × H 20.9″) has a slimmer shade and more height, which suits nightstands beside a tall headboard or end tables next to a sofa, where the light should reach over your shoulder. The Wide (∅ 11.8″ × H 18.9″) is a little lower with a deeper 7.9″ shade, giving a broader pool of light that works well on a desk or a lower side table.
What kind of light does it give?
A warm, diffused glow. The beige fabric shade softens the bulb so there's no harsh glare, while still throwing enough light down onto a book or desk — useful for both reading and relaxed ambient lighting. Warm-white bulbs (around 2700K) bring out the brass and wood tones best.
