The frame is genuine brass underneath, but it's finished with a black treatment over the metal rather than left in its natural warm-gold tone. You get brass's structural durability with a more graphic, contemporary black surface — if you're picturing a bright gold fixture, this reads darker and more understated instead.
The two sizes have quite different proportions — what changes beyond the light count?
More than just scaling up. The 1-Light Single (L7.5″ × W7.7″) is nearly square in footprint and tall, while the 2-Light Double (L17.1″ × W10.4″) is noticeably wider and slightly taller — the second light extends the fixture horizontally rather than simply making everything bigger. Choose based on how much horizontal wall space you're working with, not just how much light output you want.
How many bulbs does each size need?
