Before you order

At H59.1″, will the base be stable enough when I angle the light?
The base (L12.2″ × W9.8″) is proportioned to counterbalance the tall brass stem, and the adjustable head is designed to redirect light without shifting the fixture's overall center of gravity dramatically. That said, as with any tall, adjustable floor lamp, avoid tilting the head to an extreme angle right at the fixture's tallest point, and keep it clear of high-traffic paths.
At max 15W, is this bright enough for reading?
It's on the lower end for a dedicated reading light, so pairing it with a higher-output warm-white LED bulb (within the 15W ceiling) will get the most usable brightness. The adjustable angle helps by letting you aim the light precisely at your page or task rather than relying on raw output alone, but if you need strong task lighting, consider it as a supplement alongside another light source.
How do I turn it on, and is it hardwired or plug-in?
Plug-in, not hardwired — it uses a 59″ cord with a push-button switch on the fixture itself, so there's no electrician needed to set it up. Just position it, plug it in, and press the button to turn it on.
What bulb works best for the Frida?
A standard E12 or E14 base bulb, sold separately, rated up to 15W. A warm-white LED suits the fixture's classic, timeless character while making the most of its light output.
