The pleated fabric shade should be spot-cleaned gently with a dry, soft brush — avoid water or wet cleaning, which can flatten or stain the pleats. Wipe the wood base with a dry cloth only.

How is the Martha set up?
No electrician required — this is a plug-in fixture. Four steps:
  1. Unpack & place. Set the wood base on your chosen surface — no mounting or hardware needed.
  2. Attach the shade. Fit the pleated fabric shade onto the base — see the Lampshade Installation guide below for step-by-step fitting.
  3. Fit the bulb. Thread in your E26/E27 bulb (max 60W), sold separately.
  4. Plug in & switch on. Run the 59″ cord to a nearby outlet and use the push-button switch to turn it on and off.
Where is the switch, and how does it work?
The Martha uses a push-button switch rather than a rotary or pull-chain control — press it once to turn the lamp on, and press again to turn it off. It's typically located on the cord or at the base, within easy reach without needing to touch the shade.
What's the difference between Wood Color and Walnut Color?
Wood Color shows a lighter, natural grain for a warmer, more casual look. Walnut Color is a deeper, richer tone that reads more formal and traditional. Both pair with the same Beige pleated shade, so the choice comes down to how light or dark you want the base to read against your furniture.
What bulb works best for the Martha?
The Martha takes a standard E26 or E27 base bulb, sold separately, rated up to 60W. A warm-white 2700K LED lets the pleated fabric shade diffuse a soft, even glow, in keeping with the lamp's traditional character.
