This is an ultra-thin wall lamp. Its slim profile means it doesn't sit directly over a standard US junction box out of the box — if you need to install it onto a US-standard box, a round mounting accessory compatible with US-standard boxes is available; let us know and we'll provide it with your order. IP20-rated for dry, indoor rooms only — avoid installing in bathrooms or other damp locations.

Before you order

How is the Kayu installed?
Hardwired onto a standard junction box, by a qualified electrician. Four steps:
  1. Cut power & confirm wiring. Switch off the circuit at your breaker and confirm the wall box supply matches AC 110 – 240 V.
  2. Check your junction box. Because the fixture is ultra-thin, confirm your junction box is a good fit — request the round US-standard mounting accessory ahead of time if needed.
  3. Mount the fixture. Secure the wood body to the box, then match line-to-line, neutral-to-neutral, and ground.
  4. Restore power. Switch the circuit back on — the LED is built-in, so there's no bulb to install.
Do I need the round mounting accessory for my junction box?
Only if you're installing onto a standard round US junction box. Because the Kayu is an ultra-thin fixture, its base doesn't automatically fit every box type — the round accessory adapts it to fit US-standard boxes cleanly. If you're unsure what junction box you have, let us know before your order ships and we'll include the accessory.
How much power does each length draw?
Power scales with length: 19W for the 23.6″, 23W for the 31.5″, 29W for the 39.4″, and 35W for the 59″. All are built-in integrated LED, so there's no separate bulb to buy or replace — check the spec sheet download above for the exact figure on the 47.2″ length.
Which length should I choose?
The shorter lengths (23.6″–31.5″) work well as an accent above a console, headboard, or bathroom mirror. The mid lengths (39.4″–47.2″) suit a hallway or a wider wall feature. The longest 59″ option reads as a full architectural line — well suited to a living room feature wall or a long stretch above a dining table. Since it's IP20-rated, keep any mirror or vanity placement to a dry area away from direct water exposure.
