Daphne Table Lamp

UGS LST-281536-01
$246.00

A trapezoid, over solid wood.

Drawing from traditional library lamp aesthetics and modern desk lighting, the Daphne Table Lamp pairs a trapezoidal metal shade with a slim iron stem and a rectangular solid wood base. Its wide shade interior reflects light downward, making it a functional choice for home office executive desks, library reading nooks, or study room side tables. Finished with gold-tone hardware accents, this classic task lamp fits transitional, academic vintage, and contemporary dark academia interiors alike.

Good to know

The solid wood base is a natural material — expect minor variation in grain between units, which is normal and not a flaw. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth only; avoid placing the base in direct sun or near heat sources, which can dry out and warp the wood over time.

Frequently Asked

Before you order

How is the Daphne set up?
No electrician required — this is a plug-in fixture. Four steps:
  1. Unpack & place. Set the wood base on your desk or table — no mounting or hardware needed.
  2. Attach the shade. Fit the trapezoidal metal shade onto the iron stem.
  3. Fit the bulb. Thread in your E26/E27 bulb, sold separately.
  4. Plug in & switch on. Run the 59″ cord to a nearby outlet and switch it on.
What's the difference between the "Base & Hardware" and "Lampshade" color options?
"Base & Hardware" refers to the stem, fittings, and wood base finish — offered in Black, Dark Blue, White, or Gold. "Lampshade" refers to the trapezoidal metal shade color — offered in Black, Blue, or White. The two are selected independently, so you can pair a Gold base with a White shade, a Black base with a Black shade for a monochrome look, or mix any other combination to match your desk.
What bulb gives the best reading light?
The Daphne takes a standard E26 or E27 base bulb, sold separately. For focused desk and reading work, a 2700–3000K warm-white bulb around 40–60W equivalent gives clear, glare-free downward light without feeling clinical — well suited to the lamp's library-desk character.
Which finish suits a dark academia look versus a lighter, contemporary desk?
Black hardware with a Black or Dark Blue shade leans into the moodier, dark academia and academic vintage aesthetic. White or Gold hardware with a White shade reads brighter and more contemporary, fitting a lighter transitional office. Gold hardware pairs well with any shade color if you want a consistent warm accent across your desk setup.
