Good to know

Alabaster is a natural stone, so each bowl shade's veining, translucency, and exact tone will vary slightly from piece to piece. This natural variation is part of the material's character rather than a defect, and it's part of what gives each fixture a one-of-a-kind, custom feel.

Frequently Asked

Before you order

Will my alabaster shades look exactly like the photos?
Close, but not identical. Alabaster is a natural stone, so the veining, translucency, and exact tone vary from piece to piece — this is expected of a natural material rather than a manufacturing defect, and it's part of what gives the fixture its one-of-a-kind, custom character.
Both sizes have a square footprint (L=W) — what does that mean for my space?
Since both the 4-Light (21.7″ × 21.7″) and 8-Light (42″ × 42″) are perfectly square, this suits a square or round table best, or a centered spot over a kitchen island, rather than an elongated rectangular table where a linear fixture would fit better.
What's the difference between the Brass, Black, and White frame?
Brass leans warmer and more traditional, complementing the natural alabaster tone closely. Black offers the strongest contrast against the pale stone shades. White is the most understated, letting the alabaster bowls read as the visual focus.
How many bulbs does each size need?
Bulb count matches the light count: 4 for the smaller size, 8 for the larger, all on E12 or E14 bases, sold separately, rated up to 15W each.

A Stone That Was Always Meant to Hold Light

Not Painted. Not Frosted.
Simply Lit From Within.

Long before glass shades or fabric drums, alabaster was already carved thin enough to let light pass through it. Every panel and shell in this collection is cut from a single block of natural stone — its warmth, its veining, its glow are not effects. They are the mineral itself, doing what it has always done.

01 — Cross-Section, Backlit
Translucency · Nature's Rarest Optical Stone

Most Stone Blocks Light.
Alabaster Was Built to Carry It.

Marble absorbs. Granite blocks. Alabaster is one of the only natural stones that lets light travel through its crystalline structure — softened, warmed, and diffused, never harsh. Hand-thinned to the edge of transparency, it glows evenly across the entire surface with no hot spots and no visible bulb.

This is why alabaster has lit temples, tombs and palaces for over four thousand years — no synthetic material has ever fully replicated the way it holds a flame.

03 — From Quarry to Glow

Five Stages. All by Hand.

No two pieces pass through the workshop the same way — the stone dictates the pace.

Step 01

Quarried

Raw blocks are hand-selected for density, translucency and the beauty of their natural veining.

Step 02

Hand-Shaped

Cut and shaped entirely by hand, following the stone's grain — no two pieces are ever the same.

Step 03

Hand-Thinned

Carved down in stages, revealing the stone's hidden translucency.

Step 04

Polished

A smooth, luminous finish that lets light pass through evenly.

Step 05

Fitted & Wired

Paired with premium brass fittings, wired and inspected before it ships.
