The Gambosa Table Lamp is a tribute to the Space Age aesthetic, pairing a bold, minimalist silhouette with a sleek iron dome shade and a lozenge-shaped luminous base. The contrasting finishes — from the deep gloss of the shade to the warm inner glow of the capsule — create a layered lighting effect that reads more like a sculptural object than a standard table lamp, suited to living rooms, studies, and gallery-style console displays.

What bulb works best for the cinematic glow?
The Gambosa fits both E12 (candelabra base, common in North America) and E14 (small Edison screw, common in Europe) — pick whichever matches your region. For the warm "inner glow of the capsule," we recommend a 2700K warm-white LED at 25 – 40 W equivalent. Amber filament or smoked-glass bulbs read most cinematic of all, especially behind the Black or Brown Grey finishes.
How do I choose between the base and shade finishes?
Every base finish pairs with every shade finish — six combinations in total. Orange Red base + Black shade reads boldest, with the strongest gallery-installation feel; Brown Grey base + White or Pink shade reads quieter and more residential. The shade takes visual priority because of its dome height — pick that first, then choose the base to either contrast (drama) or echo (calm).
Which size suits a console vs. a side table?
Edition I (∅9.8″ × H11.8″) is sized for side tables, nightstands, and shelves where it sits at eye level when seated. Edition II (∅14.1″ × H16.1″) is the console-and-credenza scale — it commands a 50–70 cm wide surface and reads as a focal sculpture. Staging a pair (Edition II on the console, Edition I on a side table) makes for a layered, gallery-style composition.
Does the iron shade get hot during use?
The iron dome shade will warm noticeably during prolonged use — normal for any all-metal lamp. Using an LED bulb (which generates far less heat than incandescent or halogen) at the recommended 25–40 W equivalent keeps the shade cooler. Let the lamp cool fully before handling the shade, and avoid placing soft fabrics or papers directly against it.
How do I clean and care for the lamp?
Both the iron base and dome shade are finished in lacquer — wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to lift dust. For light fingerprints, a barely-damp cloth followed by a dry buff is enough; avoid solvents, abrasive cleaners, or polishes, which can dull the gloss. Always unplug the lamp and let it cool before cleaning.
