Miroa Wall Lamp

SKU LSW-B6059-01
$133.00

A dove suspended on a twisted cord of brass.

The Miroa Wall Lamp harmoniously blends the exquisite artistry of handcrafted stained glass with a dynamic solid brass hanging design, featuring a 100 cm adjustable twisted cord that creates an elegant sense of fluidity. Its shade uses traditional Tiffany-style techniques to assemble a symbolic white dove motif which, paired with the warm lustre of brushed brass, transforms light into a mesmerising display of colourful art. A soulful statement piece — designed to infuse your living space with vintage charm and modern artistic spirit.

Good to know

Bulb sold separately — fits a standard E26 or E27 base, 40 W maximum. We recommend a warm-white bulb to bring out the glass colours at their richest. Each shade is hand-pieced in the Tiffany tradition — small variations in the cut of individual tiles, the lead-line patterns, and the precise tone of the coloured glass are part of the craft, not a defect. The twisted cord is freely adjustable up to 100 cm — set the drop height to suit your bedside, hallway, or alcove. Hardwired install by a qualified electrician; rated for indoor placement, away from direct moisture.

Frequently Asked

Before you order

What is the twisted cord made of, and will it stretch or fray over time?
The cord is a fabric-wrapped braided wire — the textile sleeve carries the vintage twisted appearance, while a structural wire core inside takes the actual load of the shade. Because the load passes through the wire, not the fabric, the cord does not stretch, sag, or fray under normal use. Dust occasionally with a soft, dry cloth; avoid solvents. Treated as a sealed unit (don't try to disassemble or shorten the cord yourself), it holds its appearance for the life of the fixture.
Can I set the drop height during installation, and adjust it later?
Yes — the cord is freely adjustable up to 100 cm (39.4″), and the drop is set during installation by your electrician. Once chosen, the cord holds its position without slipping. Re-adjusting later is possible but requires re-opening the canopy at the wall, so most owners commit to a height at install. As a starting point: shorter (50–60 cm) sits well over a console or low headboard; mid-length (70–80 cm) suits standard bedside placement; full length (100 cm) reads beautifully on a tall hallway or stairwell wall.
Does the suspended shade swing or feel unstable?
No — the cord is weight-loaded and tensioned, not free-hanging like a chain. Once the shade is seated and powered, it settles into its drop and stays there. A passing draft or accidental brush won't set it swinging. The 100 cm maximum drop is engineered to keep the shade comfortably balanced; the silhouette is "fluid" in appearance, not in motion.
Each shade is hand-pieced — what does that mean for a matched pair?
Subtle variations are part of the Tiffany tradition, not a defect. Two Miroa sconces flanking a bed will read as a coordinated pair — the silhouette, palette family, and dove motif are consistent — but a side-by-side comparison may reveal small differences in the cut of individual tiles, the rhythm of the lead-lines, or the precise tone of a single coloured pane. This is the signature of hand-pieced glass rather than machine printing. If exact symmetry matters more than craft variation, this fixture isn't the right choice.
What bulb suits stained glass best?
A frosted or opal warm-white bulb, E26 or E27 base, 40 W maximum. Stained glass reads richest with diffused, even illumination — a frosted bulb at 2700–3000 K lets each coloured tile glow without hot spots, and keeps the white dove silhouette clean against its surround. Avoid cool-white or daylight bulbs; they wash the colours flat. Bulb sold separately.
