This is expected of genuine alabaster and part of its character, not a flaw. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth only, avoiding ammonia-based or abrasive cleaners.

Before you order

How is the Capsule installed?
Hardwired onto a standard junction box, by a qualified electrician. Four steps:
  1. Cut power & confirm wiring. Switch off the circuit at your breaker and confirm the wall box supply matches AC 110 – 240 V.
  2. Mount the brass fixture. Secure the base to the junction box, then match line-to-line, neutral-to-neutral, and ground.
  3. Fit the G9 bulb. Thread in your G9 base bulb before closing up the fixture.
  4. Attach the alabaster capsule shade & restore power. Fit the shade around the central mount and switch the circuit back on.
Will my fixture look exactly like the product photos?
Not exactly — as a natural stone, alabaster carries its own veining and tonal variation, so no two shades are perfectly identical. The overall capsule shape and warm, anti-glare glow will match, but the specific vein pattern on your fixture will be one-of-a-kind.
What's the difference between the Brass and Antique Bronze mount?
Brass reads brighter and more polished, letting the mount stand out against the pale alabaster shade. Antique Bronze is darker and more muted, blending in for a quieter, understated look. Both share the same white alabaster capsule shade.
Where does the Capsule work best?
